In preparing to explore a new place that’s either a little familiar or unknown, it’s often recommended that you hire a guide. The guide is an expert who will show you what you’d like to see, provide access to what only the locals know and most importantly, keep you safe so you can return back home with an adventurous tale worthy of sharing with your friends.

I hear and witness it so often, women comparing and “shoulding” about what they need to do to be successful.

You’re following more rules and timelines in an effort to attain certain benchmarks that equate to happiness - and being critical when they aren’t met. You’re more stressed and unhappy because you feel the conflict. The external expectations versus the internal knowing that there is something more. You may even get glimpses of possibility when you witness other women living their dreams or exuding that elusive je ne sais quoi.

Woman in the Arena is a framework created out of inspiration and necessity during my “travels” in the unknown.

Through this methodology you’ll discover:

  • How to use and integrate this information to spend less time feeling lost and enjoying what you have found (although, eventually you may enjoy being lost)

My intention for you is that through this clarity, you’ll experience less anxiety, stress, self-judgement, comparison and doubt that will inevitably show up in some form as you live into your known desires now and the ones yet to be reveal. You are inspired and empowered by your own resilience and knowing.

THE INSPIRATION

When author and speaker, Brene Brown shared this quote from her book “Daring Greatly”, it struck me deeply. I was…

 “a (wo)man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood…”

For the last several years, I’ve been intimately living, exploring and researching my embodied expansion. I can say this with clarity now. In raw, honest truth…I didn’t know exactly what the f*ck was happening. The only thing I was sure of was that I had to listen and follow this inner calling of living in the unknown, that included the adventure of not knowing:

  • Where I was going to live next

  • Where exactly money was going to come from

  • Where this undeniable call was going to lead me

Having lived for a long time in the security of having a place to live, employment and some “certainty” or plans around how my life and future would be, living like this was new on levels I’ve never experienced before in my life. People talk about the thrill and risk of skydiving…I’ve been “jumping out of planes” for a while now. In taking this leap of faith, I’ve also never felt more truly myself, confident in who I am and more self-expressed and present. Oh, and my life feels pretty magical…the things I’ve manifested continue to astound me.

Through the process of that experience and witnessing my own peaks and valleys, I started to notice patterns in my movement practice, how I engage with my life and my ability to manifest. They were consistently mirroring each other and providing priceless insight. I observed key fundamental elements in the moments I manifested my desire (both negative and positive). I would take this insight to help me navigate a new venture and would fine tune the process with better and faster results. My life started to up-level the more I became aligned with myself. The unexpected cherry on top was frequently finding myself in the right place at the right time. Here are just a few examples:

  • Following my inner guidance to check out a new coffee spot to write and leaving 3 hours later with a New Year’s Eve date.

  • Attending events and meeting new people who would open up new doors for me.

  • Finding myself invited to guide women in their bodies through some very dark and painful times.

  • In 2016, I planned to visit NYC from California for only 11 days…people needed someone to cat/dog sit or invited me to stay with them. I’ve been here ever since.

Why did I create this?

What I’ve created is what I wished I had decades ago. I was looking for a comprehensive perspective that offered just enough structure for me to follow and space for me to make it my own. Insight that encouraged feeling my emotions instead of feeling judged or ashamed. Provided a path to incorporate my life experience, other modalities learned and space for more.

The analogy I like to use is learning to cook. Once you understand the fundamentals of navigating around the kitchen and using the tools for preparation, it’s inevitable the basics can be used again AND up-leveled as recipes become more difficult.

Every woman is different in her process. How do I know this? In the hundreds of women I’ve guided in their movement, how she unfurls and rises is unique. I desire she owns her light and brings it into where she feels called. We need to do this together. We need a sanctuary to fall apart, regroup and get back in the arena.


About Me

 

When it comes to this program, I feel uniquely qualified and really set up for this work that I’ve created. I think that’s the beauty of life and surrendering to it. One experience is preparing you for the next and it’s all moving you toward something - even if you don’t know exactly the “why”.

A big part of this process is connecting the dots. It’s never really linear, but for sake of organization and sharing fun facts…my dots include:

  • I’m the oldest in my immediate family. Oldest Granddaughter on my maternal side.

  • Active in sports and then found cheerleading. Rooting for ya!

  • Majored in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.

  • In my various corporate jobs, I was a Business Analyst. I like sorting and identifying the best process.

  • For my personal development, I spent years of practicing movement and being a part of a community of empowered women. Developing my intuition and reading tarot cards for 18 years.

 Program Overview

 

Each week, we’ll begin with quick updates, review content for the week and homework for integration. The video format will be like a virtual classroom where participants can view the content and see each other. The calls will be recorded and posted on the private Facebook page the following day. Additional Q&A and content will be available via the private Facebook page. Like in my Live Embodied Movement classes, there is a plan, however if I see that there is a greater need for the content to shift and change in service to you, I will make that change.

The content is organized in a manner to build off of the previous lesson with time in between to explore your own process and integrate it in a way that honors where you are. You’ll be provided worksheets and practical exercises to help identify your framework. For the movement portion, please create a private space for yourself to participate if you can or complete later.

How will the program be delivered?

While the weekly online live class will take place via Zoom, additional content and community interaction, and support will take place in a secret Facebook Group (Woman in the Arena 2019). Information on how to join the group will be included in the email when registering for the program.

How much support will I receive?

This is a group program. I will do my best to support you. I will be answering every question on the Facebook page. Please feel free to post your questions. Do I have to do the 5-day challenge before the program?

Absolutely, not! Feel free to dive right into the program.

Why do you only offer this online?

You can Live Embodied wherever you are. I believe there is power in learning in your own day to day environment. You can see that there is magic right where you live and you will likely discover resources right in front of you. Plus, I want to help set you up for success so that you can do this on your own.

What will our online sessions look and feel like?

There will be some movement.

There will be conversation and I welcome full participation from everyone. There’s more power when we share.

There will be vulnerability.

There will be depth.

How can I get the most out of our time together?

Be open. There will be some inevitable resistance; I get it. If you’re open, we can get to the heart and depth in perfect timing.

Trust. Trust the process. I’m in service to you, your heart, your soul and you living in your truth. I believe this is where the magic lies. Everyone leaves with exactly what they needed and you may be surprised by what that is.

Practice. Practice frequently that it becomes automatic and embodied.

Play. See how much fun, pleasure and play is available to you. It doesn’t have to be so serious.

Why are you my guide?

Simply, I’ve been made to do this. It’s my purpose and service. It’s taken me a lot to get to this space. I’ve had to learn to Live Embodied - actually, I was living embodied before I could name it. I walk my walk and talk my talk. This text, this offering, this website, and my classes are all a result of learning to cultivate a relationship with my body and to trust the information. I had spent A LOT of time denying, resisting and doubting this. I would not be here right now (and you wouldn’t be reading this), if I hadn’t followed my own Embodiment Map.
