Decade to Embodiment

2010-2019

At this time of year I make it a priority to reflect back on the year. Frankly, 2019 kicked my ass and I’m surprised I’m still standing.

The other day Facebook reminded me of some old memories and it inspired me to look at the last decade before entering a new one. What are the highlights? What are the lessons learned? What am I bringing into the next decade?

The overview of images brings a flood of memories and feelings.

I started this decade with the comfort of my corporate job and living a life one would define as successful - a good job, traveling, living in a 2 bedroom apartment and enjoying life in NYC. I’d say I was relatively happy and shushing the desires for “more”. I didn’t even know what “more” meant. I was doing alright and that should be enough, right?

I’d soon come to terms that this would be the decade of redefining my sense of self, happiness, meaning and purpose.

At this turning point, I was inspired to create an exercise around this reflection. I’ve created a worksheet with instructions for you to do your own review. If you’re already on my mailing list, you will have received an email. If you’re not, subscribe below, you’ll see a link to download immediately after subscribing.

I also go into more reflection about my decade in my first podcast - Everyday Embodiment! Listen here or wherever you listen to podcasts.
